Rafiq Foundation continues the social services initiated by Sheikh Muhammad Rafiq Nisar Awan (late), who, in 1992, established a school in the remote area of Muzaffargarh. He went on to build additional schools, mosques, and educational complexes, and undertook projects related to clean water, orphan sponsorships, and disaster relief for earthquake and flood victims.

Rafiq Foundation focuses on educational, cultural, developmental, and healthcare initiatives, providing services such as medical treatment, clean water, food security, school supplies, vocational training, and scholarships. It supports orphans, widows, and underprivileged communities across Pakistan and continually seeks new opportunities to serve humanity.
